IMD in Italy
IMD at the University of Catania (Italy)
Meet us at the University of Catania in Italy on Saturday 17th September to celebrate International Microorganism Day together! Our theme is “Microbes & microbiomes: invisible yet invaluable societies”. The event is free to attend and will be in Italian.
Microbes are everywhere! Whenever you swim in crystal clear sea water or take a walk in the forest, studying the water cycle or admiring artworks, be prepared to meet their invisible societies or to deal with the effects of their secret lives: microbes live even inside us!
Their presence is key for life on earth, even if we may sometimes complain about their side effects … Let’s get familiar with microbes and microbiomes during the International Microorganism Day 2022 in Catania!
The event will close with the launch of a new Citizen Science project.
We hope to see many of you there!
