Let’s take a look at microorganisms around us

The event was held on 17 September 2023, in the Life Science Center for Survival Dynamics, University of Tsukuba, Japan. Our event was co-hosted by the Microbiology Research Center for Sustainability, University of Tsukuba. 

The first part was a lecture by a microbiologist specializing in bacterial communities in various bacteria. The second part is a workshop, where the participants observed microbial cells and biofilms under the microscope in the lab. 

All participants said that they enjoyed the lecture, the workshop, and the microscopy observations at the event. We where excited to hear that their interest in microorganisms increased after taking part!
