Workshop in Environmental Microbiology
On 19 September 2023, we celebrated IMD at the Institute of Environmental Sciences & Engineering (IESE), National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) in Islamabad. We ran a workshop that helped students familiarize themselves with Environmental Microbiology and gave them the opportunity to practice lab techniques using the tools available.
We had a very successful event which embarked upon a new journey in the lives of young scientists with respect to their career choices and raised awareness about the importance of microbial community.
Teeny Weeny Well Wishers: Within and Around US - Microscopic Universe

Where? Institute of Medical Technology (IMT), Dow University of Health Sciences, Ojha Campus Karachi.
Now is the greater need to create awareness on the beneficial roles of bacteria, dispel common misperceptions about microbes being only bad, how essential they are for our survival and call attention to root causes of antimicrobial resistance and strategies to fight against it. We would like to celebrate the International Microorganism Day in the aforementioned context.
Microorganisms and CRISPR: Past, Present and Future
On 12 September 2023 at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore (Ravi Campus, Pattoki) we celebrated IMD with our students.
Our event had three components, a seminar on the role of microorganisms in CRISPR and sustainable bioremediation, a panel discussion on CRISPR's past, present, and future, and a microbial art and poster competition.
