We are celebrating IMD with two independent events in Brazil!
ABC microbiology
Come to learn the ABC of microbiology! Our event will feature different exhibitions and playful materials for kids, showing the importance of microorganisms in our health, environment, and biotechnology processes. You will also have the opportunity to see "live" microbes, for example, microbes in foods, soil and aquatic microbes.
When? 6 and 17 September from 4-6pm
Where? You can find us in three different location in Brazil. São Luís – Maranhão.

Come and meet the microbes that are necessary in food production and that improve our daily lives
On 16 and 17 September 2023 we held our event in two different locations. Graduates were welcomed at the University Federal of Lavras, and we also visited a municipal public school to show the importance of microorganisms to elementary school students.
In both, we displayed microbe plates, we had microscopes that our attendies could learn to use, and a display of various products derived with the help of microbes.
Both children and university students seemed quite surprised at how essential microorganisms are to our lives!
