IMD in Uruguay

IMD celebration in Uruguay will be centered around the significance of microbial diversity. Our events will feature insightful lectures by international experts including Dr. Roberto Kolter, Dr. Rosa Del Campo, and Dr. Claudia Piccini, who will share their work in various microbiology disciplines including basic, health, and environmental-related fields. 

In addition, we will be screening, the documentary "The Invisible Extinction" by ROCO Films, which sheds light on the hidden world of microorganisms and their impact on our planet. Furthermore, during the whole week, people will be able to explore the captivating photography exhibition "Life at the Edge of Sight" by  Scott Chimileski and Roberto Kolter, available at the Clemente Estable Institute. 

When? Lectures will take place on 15 and 22 September 2023. The documentary will be screened from 15 to 17 September 2023.
