Walk in the park with microbes – International Microorganism Day 2024

When: 21 September 2024, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm (Saturday)

Where: Maksimir Park, Zagreb

Join us as we raise awareness of the importance of microbes and make learning about microbes an outdoor interactive activity.

Families with children or other interested individuals strolling through the Maksimir Park will be invited to walk, or run, the course with 8 different stations each dealing with a different type of microbial life.

The participants will be given a map to get oriented at the start. Each station will have designated activities coordinated by volunteers (a quiz, a game) and a perforator will be supplied to mark reaching that station.

Two out of eight stations will be linked with the dissemination activities of the COST Action CA20125 “Applications For Zoosporic Parasites In Aquatic Systems” focused on aquatic fungi and fungi-like microorganisms.

Participants who complete the educational walking tour will be given a certificate.
